Ani Batikian entered the Yerevan State Conservatoire in Armenia at the age of 15, being the youngest student ever to study there and supported by a local scholarship. At the age of 19 she received an undergraduate and at the age of 20 a postgraduate diploma with honours.

Ani has given numerous Solo Recitals in Armenia and Europe. She has performed as a soloist with Naregatsi Baroque Orchestra, National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, Katrineholm Symphony Orchestra in Sweden, as well as RSAMD (Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) Symphony Orchestra in the UK.

Receiving a full scholarship in 2003 meant she could continue her studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, in the class of Prof. Hu Kun, graduating with a DipRAM for outstanding performance, PGDip with distinction and LRAM. She was very highly commended in Wilfred Parry Prize, as well as Marjorie Hayward Prize in RAM, London. When she applied to pursue a Masters at the RSAMD, she was awarded the prestigious International Full Scholarship. Ani was accepted in the class of Professor Peter Lissauer.

Since her arrival at the RSAMD, Ani has underlined her reputation as a musician of exceptional talent by winning Hilda Bailey Prize, David Knox Memorial Prize, Dunbar-Gerber Chamber Music Prize, Mabel Glover String Quartet Prize, and Governor’s Prize for Chamber Music. As a recipient of the Dewar Award, Ani performed in The Dewar Arts Awards Fifth Anniversary Concert held in the Scottish Parliament. She has also successfully performed in Glasgow Art Club, Pollok House, Cowdray Hall, Venue in Leeds and in many other venues.

Ani Batikian is also a winner of national and international competitions in Armenia. She has performed in "Music Alp" Festival in France, Levon Chilingirian Festival in Armenia, Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany, and Cadenza International Summer Music School in England. She has performed chamber music with major musicians as Levon Chilingirian, Ida and Ani Kavafians, David Watkin as well as the famous Hebrides Ensemble and received masterclasses with world-class musicians, like Thomas Brandis, Pierre Amoyal, Mauricio Fuks, Tibor Varga, Joji Hattori, Saschko Gawriloff, Sylvia Rosenberg, Zvi Zeitlin and many others.

Currently Ani is a lecturer at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
